5 Fandom Friday: My TBR Pile

February 06, 2017 by Betsy Deuman

I don't know what happened last week but I did not get to any posts. Oh well, sometimes that's how life goes.

Well this is only 4 days late, but better late than never. Last week’s 5FF post was about 5 books on your to be read pile (TBR). Since I love reading, I didn’t want to miss a chance to share with you what is on my TBR pile.

My Current bookshelf. My plants from L-R. Peter, Freya, Orion & Aurelia.

Currently reading: Bad Feminist by Roxanne Gay (I’m not going to count this in the total because I’ve already started).

1.)    Rebecca by Daphne Du Maurier. This is February’s book club book so that is what is up next for me. It looks interesting and it never hurts to read more classics.

2.)    The 48 laws of power by Robert Greene. Apparently this is the book that gangs use to expand their territory. It is also a favorite among celebrities. Seems like an interesting read.

3.)    Magnus Chase and the Gods of Asgard by Rick Riordan. I love Riordan’s series about the Camp Half Blood chronicles that follows the scions of the God’s of Olympus. I also love Norse mythology. I’m hoping this book will capture me in the same way.

4.)    Becoming: Sex, Second Chances, and Figuring Out Who the Hell I Am by Laura Jane Williams. I found Laura Jane's blog last year and then promptly fell in love with her. Her voice is strong and unique. Her writing is everything I want my writing to be. I can’t wait to read her book. I’ve been putting it off for too long because I “had to” read the books I already owned.

5.)    Luckiest Girl Alive by Jessica Knoll. I’ve heard a lot of awesome things about this book and I’ve been wanting to read it for awhile, but please see #4 as to why I haven’t gotten around to it yet.

Honorable mention Today Will Be Different by Maria Semple. I absolutely fell in love with Where’d You Go Bernadette and I am excited to revisit this author and her new book.

What is on your TBR pile?
